At OAR we operate a fleet of professionally maintained, mission specific survey aircraft and sensor payload configurations, suitable for most aerial survey operations. All our aircraft and pilots are FAR part 135 certified and carded under both the Department of Interior (DOI) and U.S. Forest Service (USFS). From aerial wildlife survey’s to large-scale mapping operations, we have to the tools, technology, and expertise to satisfy a wide range of aerial survey needs.


The Overwatch Imaging TK-7 is a multi-sensor step-stare mapping system containing three individual cameras: Long Wave Infrared (LWIR, FOV = 14.17 degrees), Near Infrared (NIR, FOV = 16.8 degrees), and Color (RGB, FOV = 16.8 degrees). The TK-7 operates with proprietary software that automatically orthorectifies captured imagery and generates end-user geospatial files that can be readily loaded into any geospatial software package for conversion into any desired finished product. The TK-7 also features on-board Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) analysis software that automatically normalized the data and provides a real-time NDVI output. Captured imagery can be delivered in GeoTiff format as well as individual GIS compatible layers. This combination of sensors and software make the TK-7 a highly versatile mapping system that can be used for a variety of applications, including but not limited to; Wildfire mapping, vegetation mapping, small-scale 3D modeling, NDVI analysis, NDWI analysis, and many more.


The L3/Harris MX-10 is a gyro-stabilized multispectral imaging system, equipped with a cooled mid-wave infrared (MWIR) sensor, low-light camera, and continuous zoom electro-optical (EO) color camera, laser range finder accurate to within 1-meter, and laser illuminator systems.

The Quantum turret is a gimbal mounted turret capable of 360 degree pan/tilt/zoom, housing two primary imaging systems: a high-definition cooled mid-wave MWIR (3.6 – 4.9 µm), and a high-definition electro optical (EO) daylight camera. Both sensors include continuous zoom options with fields view ranging from 63.7° to 2.3° (EO) and 30.67° to 1.29° (MWIR). Additionally, the quantum system includes the full ARS software package, including multi-spectral full-motion video and geospatial video recording, Augmented Reality Mission Management System, and Earthscape: Video Management. All software and sensors are fully integrated to complete one of the most powerful multi-spectral imaging systems available.
